I have been reading and studying the symbology of animals for more than 20 years.

As you develop your personal relationship with animals, you will awaken to hidden qualities of your true being which will assist and heal your inner self and direct you to your true path in life.

Paying particularly close attention to the direction of the animals that you encounter lends further insight.

Another means by which you can begin to discover your self is by paying attention to the numbers and colors associated with the animals you encounter. Numbers and colors have a deep and ancient symbolism associated with them. Numbers and colors can help you to understand more clearly what Nature is trying to communicate to you.

For example:
You may consider the direction "EAST" to be associated with creativity (see below for other meanings), the animal "HORSE" is associated with travel, power and freedom, the number "One" is associated with independence, and the color "Brown" is associated with new growth -- thus, encountering one brown horse that has approached you in an easterly direction reflects that you are coming into a time that initiates new growth that leads to travel, power and freedom in your life through the means of creativity.
