FLOWERS
All flowers with thorns
Blackthorn Magical Association: Cleansing, Karmic Issues, Lack of choice but with hope rising from the depths. To do with the element of Fire
On a spiritual and emotional healing level, Blackthorn flowers exalt the spirit and help us open up to Nature's vital energies. In purifications and cleansings, the thorns represent our negative attitudes which rend and tear at us and our lives, and which we need to cast off if we want to be happy and creative. By using Blackthorn in meditation, or even by just having it around, we can begin such a process.

Catbird ~ Language and Communication, Following your own path ~ Voice: A cat-like meow, also a grating tcheck-tcheck, which hints at a facility with foreign languages.
Catbirds mimic other birds' songs, but unlike the repeated notes of the mockingbird, their imitations come in disjointed bits. If Catbird has shown up around you, look for new people coming into your life that will teach you lessons in your ability to communicate and learning a foreign language. Since Catbird also tends to be a type of a busybody, it warns you to take caution about what you say and to whom.

Cardinal ~ Renewed vitality through recognizing self-importance ~
These birds are named for the Cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church, with their bright red robes. If Cardinal has shown up around you, it may reflect past-life connection with the church, or even a reviving of more traditional beliefs, regardless of denomination. Cardinals brighten the environment. They catch the eye and add color to our lives.
